Pine tree Suede and Brown Goldenstone Glitter
I know, I know. You can create your own shoes, and don’t need to see mine. But aren’t these exciting?

I just love this design!
Milk and honey is holding a contest. To enter, you design a shoe and post it on their facebook wall. All entries must be submitted by tonight. You can find the official rules and info on their facebook page. But hurry, you only have until tonight to submit your design!
Sorry so late (about the contest)

Hey everyone!
I love designing my own… you name it. Clothing, bags, accessories, even shoes.
Custom made shoes can be very pricey. But, if you have the funds, here are two great places to design your own footwear.

This is my latest and greatest design, built at www.milkandhoneyshoes.com
I just love the Dark silver gator skin (Milk and Honey does offer vegan materials, so no animal ever need be harmed in the creation of your designs), Dark tarnished metallic piping, toe, and heel, and the Crimson velvet rose (it adds the perfect touch, in my opinion).
For another option, go to www.shoesofprey.com
They have a great design tool, and their monthly newsletter is always amazing!

When you’re really in the mood for action, and it needs to be some serious movement, grab your Don Quixote messenger bag and head for the dance studio. Inspired by the extreme movement in this classical ballet, DQ will make you feel like dancing at any time of the day!

Just a little something…
This outfit was created while we “forest gladers” were searching for clothing for a “Summer of Style” creative challenge. I just loved it so much I had to share! What do you think of this?

I know the script is a bit small, so here it is in plain font: Forest Glade Design ~ Theme: Vintage ~ Inspiration: Art, Peace, The Renaissance Period, and Victorian love ~ Components: Crocheted Vest, Ruffled Skirt and Top, Victorian Era Jewels, Evening bag, and ever fashionable Ballet Flats
Have a great day!

Workin’ hard…
It’s been a loooong week. We’re all rejoicing that the weekend has finally come! Sewing and crocheting are top on our priorities lists this weekend (pictures of our creations to follow soon), as well as simply relaxing and enjoying the rain and clouds.
So, what have we been working on? Well, let’s see…
I have been painting. There’s not a whole lot of creativity in painting baseboards, but I have enjoyed “doodling” on the brown paper used to protect the floor, and making plans with my friends. I also discovered the literal translation of “bumming around”. This is sliding around on your bum, mile after mile, painting baseboard. The wooden floors in the finished house are quite well polished now, although the back side of my dress doesn’t look so good :-(
Rachael has been kept busy taking my place in housekeeping. She’s done a very good job, and has somehow found the time to complete a few crafts. Bravo, Rachael!
Caleb has been our “go-fer”, lol. We keep him busy trotting back and forth between jobs. He’s also been refinishing his room, the fresh paint looks awesome in a cool aqua color! I’ll be posting pics. of his ocean themed decorating asap. His left handed crochet skills have also been honed this week. A big thumbs up to you, Caleb!
We’ve also had a lot of fun the past couple of weeks working on a “Summer of Style Program” with DMS. It’s been tough fitting the weekly challenges into our crazy schedules, but it has certainly been worth it! If you’d like to check out DMS, aka Define My Style, you can click on my link post ,”Totally loving DMS”, to be taken directly to the site. Trust me, you’ll love what you find! Check it out!
Hope your having a great weekend! May your blessings be big and your problems small!

Setting Sail
Getting ready for your next big style adventure? Don’t push off without a perfect pair of boots!
I’ve been wearing boots since I was a toddler. Cowboy boots, ankle boots, lace up boots… But my favorite by far has to be pirate boots! These boots can be included in any style, from sweet to sassy, and add a certain flair to your outfit that no other boot can.
“Pirate” boots have been in style since the 1500’s. Of course, they have changed with time. But one thing will never change; These are strong, beautiful boots meant for use by strong, beautiful women.
There are many variations to the pirate boot. You can get them with a wedge or stiletto heel, or skip the heel and get a flat. There are pirate inspired ankle boots, for those that prefer a short boot, or thigh highs for those that like a little more “leg”. But now I must show you my favorite:

These boots are available at Amazon.com for $83.00. You can check them out here: http://www.amazon.com/Black-Leather-Pirate-Costume-Boots/dp/B003WRCSVM/ref=brand_ltst_clth_i Or google “Pirate Boots”. The selection is limitless!
Make every day an adventure. Be daring!

Ima Peasant Queen
I don’t know what your latest fashion “must have” is, but I know mine. Meet the peasant dress. Here is style, simplicity, comfort and elegance, all in one! You can dress it up or down; With a pair of ballet flats and your hair in a braid you’ll be ready for a day of shopping, switch to strappy sandals and twist your hair into a low bun and you’ll be set for that perfect evening out! Accessorize with your favorite vest or jacket and add a pair of heeled boots to get that pirate princess look you’ve always dreamed of. And the best thing about this dress? The price. I found this dress at www.pyramidcollection.com for about $80. I decided to search for a better price, and found a very similar dress at www.amazon.com. for just half that amount!
You can check it out here: http://www.amazon.com/Night-Peasant-Smocked-Peach-Couture/dp/B0054L6F0Y/ref=sr_1_6?s=apparel&ie=UTF8&qid=1311729105&sr=1-6
Copy and paste this link into your browser to be taken straight to the site. Trust me, you’ll love it! You can also find this dress in different colors.
Take a look, and have fun creating your own fashion statements using this fantastic wardrobe staple. Hasta Luego, amigas mias!
